Don Weeks

15 Nov 1904 – March 1988

Arthur Donald Weeks was born on November 15, 1904 in Oxfordshire, England, UK. He was an assistant director and production manager, known for The Curse of Frankenstein (1957), Cul-de-sac (1966) and The Damned (1962).

His association with Hammer began as assistant director on Quatermass 2, and The Steel Bayonet, both 1957. He quickly graduated to production manager on The Curse of Frankenstein (1957). Such was his skill he was, on occasion, able to run two films at once, as was the case with Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb (1964) and Hysteria (1965), whose schedules overran each other.

Don Weeks was the brother of Hammer’s wardrobe mistress, Molly Arbuthnot.

Don Weeks died in March 1988 in Oxfordshire, England, UK.
