Fleeing the wrath of the Burgomaster, the father of one of his many sexual conquests, young Paul heads out of town and into the forest. He is refused a room at a remote inn and warned not to go to the nearby castle, but is taken there anyway by a strange, driverless coach. He is greeted by Dracula, a seemingly charming man who offers him the hospitality of his home. When Paul is not heard of again, his brother Simon and girlfriend Sarah set off in search of him…..

Footnotes
With this film, Hammer upped the stakes (!) in both the sex/nudity and the violence departments, the latter particularly in the near-sadistic scene where Dracula brands Klove.
Jenny Hanley is the daughter of actor Jimmy Hanley, who appeared in Hammer’s Room to Let (1949) and The Lost Continent (1968).
