Alfred William (Tony) Lumkin was born in Middlesex, England on 1st February 1913.
A prolific sound technician, Tony either recorded or supervised the sound for over 80 British films from 1952 until his last credit, Hammer’s To the Devil, a Daughter (1976). In addition to his work for Hammer, he was recording director on Dr Crippen (1963) and the television series “The Avengers” for 83 episodes between 1965 and 1969.
Tony married Audrey Garrett in 1940. He died in Taunton, England on 25th October 1985.
